A peek inside one of San Antonio’s most expensive apartments

Working parents with a chattering child tornado named Josie — who is quick to point out she is four AND A HALF years old — Elizabeth Fauerso and Chris Senn had grown weary of their restored 1905 Monte Vista home and all its stuff and unused space.

So they decided to downsize so they could upsize the amount of time spent together as a family. They landed in a two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom, 1,438-square-foot apartment at the Cellars, the luxury apartments completed at The Pearl last year, with a terrace looking out on Hotel Emma and views of the San Antonio River to the west and the central green of The Pearl to the east.

“Yeah, we had this 3,700-square-foot house on Agarita, a beautiful house that we bought in 2008, but we didn’t live in half of it,” said Fauerso, 44, who is the chief marketing officer for The Pearl, the mixed-use urban community just north of downtown.
